HAMPSTEAD — Kassie Marie Klette Congleton, 18, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center following complications from injuries sustained in a car accident.
She was born Sept. 20, 2000, in Wilmington. Kassie attended Topsail High School and was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Wilmington. She resided with her grandparents, Elaine and Rick Congleton.
Surviving in addition to her grandparents, Elaine and Rick Congleton are her father, Glenn F. Klette Jr. and stepmother, Stephanie Hitchcock Klette, of Hampstead; mother, Christine Flory of Arizona; grandfather, Glenn F. Klette Sr. of South Carolina; cousin, Chase Klette of Hampstead; and aunt and uncle, Henry C. Jenkins Jr. and Pamela Jenkins of Castle Hayne.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, at Anchor Baptist Church with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special note of thanks to the NHRMC ICU Staff, counselors and doctors for their care and support. Also, special thanks to the staff and personnel associated with Carolina Donor Services for their assistance.
