SUPPLY — Eddie Bryan Varnum, 71, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mr. Varnam was born June 24, 1948, in Southport and was the son of the late Eddie and Lucille Clemmons Varnam.
He was a very talented and gifted artist. His prints can be found throughout Brunswick County, the United States and also internationally. He will also be remembered for the many baptistery scenes he painted for many area churches.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Varnam; two children, Brandon Varnam, and his wife, Nicole, of Supply and Elizabeth “Daddy’s Girl” Varnam of the home; three grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas and Riley; sister, Gail Smith, and her husband, Ted, of Ash; and two nieces, Melody and Katie.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, at Shallotte Community Chapel, Highway 130 East, Shallotte, with the Rev. Randy Sullivan and the Rev. Mike Escalante officiating.
