BOLIVIA — Mr. Louie Junior “Pete” Cox, 81, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. He entered this world Oct. 14, 1937, to the late Louie Wilbur Cox and the late Evelena Smith Cox of Bolivia.
Louie joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where he attended until his health declined. Louie was educated at Brunswick County Training School. Upon graduation, he decided to relocate to Maryland for better employment opportunities as a truck driver. After 30 years of employment, he retired and returned to Bolivia. Louie, better known as “Pete,” was very humble and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked.
Louie leaves to cherish his memories with his sons, Mr. Lamont Cox of Bolivia, Mr. Anthony Cox of Clinton, Maryland, and Mr. David Cox of Bolivia; siblings, Mrs. Ruby McMillian (David) of Hampton, Virginia, Mr. Anthony Cox (Louvenia) of Bolivia, Mr. Charles Cox (Gloria) of Maryland, Mrs. Frances Richmond (Haywood) of Hampton, Virginia, Ms. Joyce Cox of Bolivia and Mrs. Beverly Coleman (Paul) of Holden Beach; grandchildren, Brandi Cox of Maryland, Ranard Cox of Washington, D.C., London Cox, Ava Cox, Anna Cox and Imani Cox of Bolivia; great-grandchildren, Garrenn, Brysen and Namoi Page of Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and special friend, Rosetta Miller.
Louie Cox was preceded in death by the following, Mrs. Eartha Cox Randolph, MSG Elbert Lee Cox, Ms. Eva Cox and Mrs. Retha Snell.
