LELAND — Jacqueline Lee “Jaci” Jones, 76, passed peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2019. She was born Dec. 8, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Vern F. Mohney and M. Naoma Mohney (Moore).
Jaci graduated from Hopewell Township High School, La Roche College and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent her long career protecting neglected and abused children in Summit County, Ohio, and New Hanover County.
Jaci embraced life with passion and purpose. She was smart, sassy, spirited and beautiful and would always tell it like it is. Jaci will be remembered for her huge generous heart, beautiful smile and fabulous laugh.
