WILMINGTON — Shirley Nadean Burns, 83, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center.
She was born March 1, 1936, to the late George Graham Murray and Merlee Hardin Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton LeNair Burns Sr.
Nadean was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and enjoyed careers in nursing, retail management and bridal consultation.
She is survived by two daughters, Deana Prestwood and Emily Sagar; one son, Fulton Burns Jr.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Jane Hodges and Joanne Shepard; and other extended family members.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
