LELAND — Mary H. Malpass, 81, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 1, 2019. She was born July 10, 1937, in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Dennis William and Jane Evans Holden.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Earl Malpass; brother, Buddy Holden; sisters, June H. Malpass and Donna Mobley; and son, Leon Malpass.
During her time in the workforce, she spent 30 years as a convenience store clerk and many years in childcare.
Mary is survived by her children, Rose Malpass of Leland, Linda, and her husband, Ricky Todd, of Leland, and William Malpass of Florida; grandchildren, Ronald, Richard, Keith, Jeremy, Mandy, Marie, Catherine, Felicia and Eddie; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and very close and loving friends.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 4, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel with a funeral service at 2 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Corey. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Todd, Keith Todd, Richard Todd, Cody Parker, Robert Bryant Jr. and Adler Paulick.
