Jill Carter Swart, 48, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center.
Jill was the daughter of Tony Tyrone Carter and Mary Shackleton Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Michael Joseph Swart, and their two children, Danielle Paris Swart (15) and Julian Michael Swart (12); mother, Mary Shackleton Carter; father, Tony Tyrone Carter, and his wife, Harriet Carter; two sisters, Stacy Keels and Allie Carter Link; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Jill’s kind nature and generous spirit will not be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, at Brooklyn Arts Center, 516 N. 4th St., Wilmington. Please bring an hors d’oeuvre, finger food or dessert to share.
