SOUTHPORT — Christy Burton Hudson, 49, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2019.
Christy was born Dec. 28, 1969, in Wilmington to Winford Arthur Burton and Patricia Martz Burton. Christy had a good Christian heart, she loved Jesus, and she knew where she was going.
Christy attended Generations Church and had previously attended The Church of the Community in Southport. Her children were the center of her universe. She loved watching her children plays sports, Carolina basketball and true-crime stories.
Christy was preceded in death by her father. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Patricia Burton; son, Jaxon Hudson; daughter, Jaeden Hudson; sister, Tracy Millis, and her husband, Richard Millis Jr.; and niece, Meridyth Millis.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb.15, at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. The family will hold visitation from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cape Fear Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jaxon and Jaeden Hudson Memorial Fund at any First Bank location.
