Jewell G. Floyd, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center following a long illness and pneumonia.
Jewell was a bookkeeper in Greensboro for Guilford Mills, Beltone, and Robert H. Hamm; and Miller Building and Ready Mix Concrete, Wilmington.
She was a very active at Wrightsboro Baptist Church as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and most notable as a choir member.
Jewell is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas “Buster” Floyd; daughter, Gwynette Krulisky; stepson, Greg Floyd; and stepdaughter, Lynn Floyd.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, at Wrightsboro Baptist Church with visitation held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to services.
