WILMINGTON — Rose Borys Pious, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center. She was born July 1, 1927, in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Stephan Borys and Barbara Rewa Borys.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Andrews On-the-Sound Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, George Edward Pious.
Surviving are her three children, Robert Pious (Carol) of Wilmington, Kathleen Fesmire (Mark) of Forest, Virginia, and Patricia Johnson (David) of Centerville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Kevin Pious (Kelly), Brian Pious (Emily), Nathan Fesmire (Christina), Eric Fesmire (Abigail), Peter Johnson (Emily), Rebecca Larson (Dan) and Karen Johnson. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Pious, Annie Pious, Mary Pious, Eleanor Pious, Ali Johnson, Ava Johnson, Kylah Johnson, Rowan Johnson, Annabelle Larson, Patrick Larson, Graham Larson and Lydia Larson.
A private viewing will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Andrews Valley Chapel.
