WILMINGTON — Frances Marie “Fran” Wilson, 76, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018. She was born Dec. 30, 1941, in Dargan, Maryland, to the late Elmer Bowers and Anna Dora Giffen Bowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean; and granddaughter, Michelle.
Fran was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Charles M. Wilson; children, Charles E. Wilson, Cindy Fuller and Mike Wilson; grandchildren, Ann, Joe, Katelyn, Jacqueline and Jessica and great-grandchildren, Logan, Cole, Conner, Aiden and Aubrey; and a very special friend, Evelyn George.
In memory of Fran, a gathering of family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at her residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
