SHALLOTTE — Jacqueline “Jackie” Pulley Kirby, 83, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.
Born March 25, 1935, in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Claudie Pulley and Evie Quinn Pulley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Floyd Kirby Jr.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl K. Bellamy (Bill) of Shallotte; son, George Floyd “Rusty” Kirby III of Shallotte; grandchildren, Kirby Bellamy (Meagan), Morgan Bellamy (Clyn) and Chip Kirby, all of Shallotte; great-grandsons, Floyd Bellamy and Rivers Bellamy (on the way); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21, at the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service and at other times at her residence in Brierwood Estates. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Joe Needham. Entombment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Kimbo Long, Wayne Tew, DeWayne Kirby, Joey Long, Ricky Buffkin and Jerome Walker.
