WILMINGTON — Ray Orlin Emerson, 68, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at his home.
Born June 13, 1950, in Ashland, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Ray Walter and Evelyn Juneau Emerson. Mr. Emerson had served in the U.S. Army Special Forces for 26 years until his retirement.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Marie Emerson of Wilmington; son, Matthew Ray Emerson of Charlotte; grandson, Gage Emerson King; and sister, Jule Marie Emerson of Vermont.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Burial, with military honors, will take place Friday, Sept. 14, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ashland, Wisconsin.
