WILMINGTON — James M. Goodrum, 90, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. He was born in Mecklenburg County April 12, 1928, to the late Graham Marvin Goodrum Sr. and Ola Belle Jennings Goodrum.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cleo Murray Goodrum; brothers, Graham M. Goodrum Jr. and Herbert J. Goodrum; and sisters, Kathleen Goodrum Logel and Lois Goodrum Chadwick.
He is survived by sons, Graham M. Goodrum (Ella)and Richard A. Goodrum (Cecilia); daughter, Susie Goodrum; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church with burial and military honors following in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery.
