
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Patricia Ann Taylor Lindsey, 76, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Wilbur Jennings Taylor Sr. and Atlanta King Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa L. Koska; brother, Wilbur J. Taylor Jr.; and sister, Lucy T. Woods.
Surviving are her spouse of 28 years, Frank Lynn Lindsey; four children, Michael F. Koska III (Angela) and child, Caroline, Caroline Koska Reda (Ralph), and children (Josh and Megan), Atlanta Koska Carrera (Reynold), and children (Lana, Christina and Jenny), and Stella Keller Black (Richard), and children (Catherine and Taylor); grandchild, Grant Gausman; two great-grandchildren, Kenan and Dean; siblings, Nell Taylor Teachey, Winston (Corky) Taylor, L.H. (Bill) Taylor and Grace Taylor Swain; and a close family friend who was like a child to her, Alan C. Carter.
Mrs. Lindsey was a 1960 graduate of New Hanover High School. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm, W.J. Taylor Dairy with her brothers and sisters in Wilmington. At age 13, she worked for her parents at Taylor Fireworks and went on to her own fireworks business in Kansas City, Kansas, until she was 29. For 45 years, she was the owner and president of Keller’s Inc., a Fire Protection Specialist Company started in 1973 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, which later relocated to Wilmington in 1975. She was a member of various industry organizations throughout her career. Patricia dedicated her whole life to her family and business, where every employee she ever had was like family.
Her husband Frank worked with her to grow Keller’s Inc. over the years, but their favorite time was at their home at Wrightsville Beach, where Granny and Grandpa Frank enjoyed the sunsets and cherished time with children and grandchildren on their boat dock.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel. A memorial service has been rescheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, at Kenan Chapel in Landfall.
