LELAND — Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Anderson Rochelle, 54, died Friday July 13, 2018, at Smokey Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.
Liz was born March 22, 1964, in Wilmington, the daughter of Paul Wayne Anderson Sr. and Martha Emily Blake Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Emily Anderson Woods; and son, Joshua Bo Rochelle.
Surviving are her son, Jeffrey R. Anderson; daughter, Jessica Emily Rochelle; two grandchildren, Jaiden Emily Jones and Sampson Deckard; brother, Paul Wayne Anderson Jr.; and her extended loving family which includes several nieces and nephews.
Liz was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Liz had a heart of gold and was a friend to everyone she ever met. Liz worked in various jobs in the healthcare field.
Liz was raised in Leland, and spent most of her adulthood in Hampstead before returning back to Leland.
Pallbearers are Liz’s cousins, Chad Johnson, Robert Wiggs, Anthony Roseman, Eldridge Ganey, Walter Wiggs and Ray Blake.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, at Andrews Mortuary Chapel at 17th and Market Street, Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hampstead Ward, 102 Deerfield Drive, Hampstead. Burial will follow in the Latter-day Saints Cemetery on Highway 210, Hampstead.
