WILMINGTON — Diane M. Warner, 59, of 722 Timber Lane, died Friday, June 22, 2018, at New Hanover Medical Center.
Born Dec. 7, 1958, in Montgomery County, Maryland, Diane was the daughter of the late Winfield Larry and Juanita Shipp Warner.
She was an administrative assistant with Good Earth Associates in Castle Hayne and a graduated from UNCW with a bachelor’s degree. She had a passion for rescuing cats and squirrels, with a special gift of nurturing them back to health.
She is survived by her lifelong friend and companion, James Hawlsey of Wilmington; daughter, Ashley Schroll of Greensboro; sister, Donna W. Chrisman, and her husband, Donald, of Fayetteville; two brothers: Dwayne Warner, and his wife, Angela, of Clinton and W.L. Warner III of Elkton, Florida; granddaughter, Kayla Schroll; and several nieces and nephews, Dylan and Abigail Warner, Dorothy Chrisman, Tabitha Parker, Brandon Warner, Shianne Warner, Shane Warner and Jaimie Morain.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Cenci officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her brother, Dwayne Warner, 315 Stetson St., Clinton.
