WILMINGTON — Fred Terretti Jr., 63, left his earthly home Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in the loving arms of his family in Wilmington.

Fred is survived by his wife and “girlfriend” of 38 years, Becky; daughter, Melissa Whitman, and her husband, Ryan; three grandchildren, Calleigh, Alex and Madilyn, all of Wilmington; best-friend and sister, Linda Wermuth, and her husband, Bob, of Polk City, Florida; brother-in-law and riding buddy, Tony Geraci of Cincinnati, Ohio; as well as numerous extended family members and loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine; and father, Fred Sr.

Fred was a great man who will live on through all the lives he has touched. His contagious laugh will echo with us all forever. There is no doubt that right now he is riding his Harley with his knees in the breeze, stopping inevitably to admire classic sports cars along the journey; all the while telling everyone he meets about the wife he loves, the family he holds so dear, and his company, TruClean Facilities Management, which was created out of the back of his 1999 station wagon. The standard of excellence he brought to his business will be continued by his wife and partner Becky and his many loyal, hardworking employees.

Fred’s request was to throw one last rockin’ party. A celebration of his life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, Wilmington Chapel, 1535 S. 41st St., Wilmington.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in his honor to Zimmer Cancer Center or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Born to Ride. Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
