DELCO — Michael A. Malpass, 39, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
He was born Nov. 16, 1978, in Wilmington to Doris Stanley Malpass of Delco and the late Larry Malpass.
Michael was a diesel mechanic by trade. Away from work, he enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities, golf, his animals, and most of all, spending quality time with his daughter, Tru, and wife, Amanda.
Family was important to him. Michael loved helping people and will be remembered by family and friends as one with the biggest of hearts and a most radiant smile.
In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife, Amanda Reaves Malpass; daughter, Tru Malpass (6); brother, Dewayne Malpass of Delco; sister, Jeanette Shipman, and her husband, Eric, of Maco; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companions, Red and Rocky.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 1, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at the mortuary chapel.
