SHALLOTTE — Patricia Joan “Pat” Barrett Collings, 83, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Fort Bragg, N.C., the daughter of the late Cecil Barrett and Ida May Floyd Barrett. She was also preceded in death by one brother, George Barrett; and one sister, Grace Gonzalez. Mrs. Collings was a registered nurse for over 50 years.
Surviving are three sons, Stephen D. Collings, and his wife, Susan, of Irmo, S.C., Robert B. Collings of Corning, Calif., and Charles W. Lee of Heath Springs, S.C.; and special friends and neighbors, Lisa and Doug Cross, and their children, Nichole and Daniel.
The family wishes to thank all who cared for Pat, especially Kristi Cannon and Montoya Stevenson of Liberty Hospice, for their loving care during the final stage of her illness.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 23, at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel, with the Revs. Gary Bowling, Mark Smith and David Kelly officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Mrs. Collings.
