BOLIVIA — Robert Franklin “Bob” McCullough Jr., 59, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home.

Mr. McCullough was born March 30, 1958, in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of the late Robert Franklin McCullough Sr. and Nina Gibbs McCullough. He was employed with Duke Energy of Southport.

Bob was devoted member of Love Of Christ Church, Bolivia. Quite often, you would find Bob on the front porch of his home enjoying God’s beauty that surrounded him, waving at everyone who would drove by, playing his guitar, listening to a sermon on his phone and reading his Bible.

He is survived by his wife, B.J. McCullough; two daughters, Lona Currie (Jessie) of Wilmington and Erin Bradley (Lee) of Bolivia; two grandchildren, C.J. Davis and Robert Lee Carroll; brother, Ray Casteen (Joy) of Oak Island; and sister, Jane Sawyer (Ted) of Smithfield, N.C.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 15, at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service, Southport. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Friday March 16, at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Smith officiating.
