
OCEAN ISLE BEACH — Forrest D. Kelly, 72, from Charlotte, N.C., passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at his home in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.
He was a decorated Vietnam veteran and served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart with clusters. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He loved his family and grandchildren dearly, and second to his heart were his Corvettes. He was a member of the Queen City Corvette Club of Charlotte and a member of the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughter, Janet Carver, and her husband, Neil, and two daughters, Kelly Marie and Miss Gracie; son, Daniel, and his wife, Lisa, and three children, Bailey, McCayla and Tripp.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Brunswick Funeral Services Chapel, Shallotte. Following the service, a meal will be served at 2 p.m. at Brick Landing Plantation, as per Mr. Forrest’s wishes.
