WILMINGTON — Elizabeth Bell Day, 95, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the Davis Health Care Center.
Elizabeth was born July 27, 1922, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Robert Bailey Bell Sr. and Elizabeth Davis Bell. Her husband, Frederick N. Day III; son, Robert Bailey Day; and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Day, preceded her in death.
Elizabeth, “Ibus,” or “Lib,” as she was called by her friends, was a beautiful woman inside and out who always looked and acted younger than she was. She was a very active member of Temple Baptist Church for many years and loved her church family. Lib had a very distinctive laugh and beautiful smile that will be dearly missed.
