LELAND — Donna S. Stalnaker, 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.
Donna was born May 14, 1934, in Wilmington to the late William Wesley Skipper and Lessie Lockett Swain Skipper of Leland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years W.C. “Bill” Stalnaker Jr.; son, Michael Stalnaker, age 54; great-granddaughter, Angel, 18 months; and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her other seven children and their families, Debra Noble and Joe, William Stalnaker III and Dorothy, Mary Ellen Hunter Stalnaker, wife of Michael, Keith Stalnaker and Marcie, Dottie Meadows and Tom, Frankie Stalnaker and Kristy, Rebecca Rogers and Glenn, Havilah Stalnaker and Kim; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four double first cousins.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Andrews Market Street Chapel, Wilmington. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Andrews Chapel. Interment will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery, Leland.
