CAROLINA BEACH — Beattie Anderson McKee, 66, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. Born June 13, 1951, in Camden, N.J., she was a daughter of Jean Stuber and the late Andy Anderson.
Beattie’s greatest accomplishments were the birth of her two sons, the late Ryan Neal McKee and Shawn Richard McKee, and founding the Island Gazette Newspaper.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roger Neal McKee; son, Shawn Richard McKee; grandchildren, Holly, Lily, Teagan and Desmond McKee; siblings, Marilyn Hinnant and Richard Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, at Andrews Valley Chapel. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour.
