WILMINGTON — Susan Marie ‘Susie’ Niemczyk Fowler, 47, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington. She was born Nov. 30, 1969, in Amsterdam, N.Y., to Michael and Margaret (Gray) Niemczyk.
She was a 1987 graduate of Amsterdam High School. She married Scott Fowler on June 19, 1993. She had two children, Spencer (12) and Megan (10). Susie was a beautiful soul inside and out. She loved to laugh and had a unique way of making every moment special. She loved spending time with her children, doing arts and crafts, playing games and spending time in the Adirondack mountains. She made every holiday special for her children and anyone who was around. She loved her children with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; children, Spencer and Megan; parents, Michael Niemczyk and Margaret Gray Niemczyk; sisters, Lori Niemczyk Tambasco, Betsy Niemczyk Deviller; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family, friends and others whose lives Susie touched are invited to the Wilmington Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1535 S. 41st St., Wilmington, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course, just chat about Susie.
