ASH — James Daniel Simmons, 63, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017.
James was born July 22, 1954, to the late James and Betty Simmons. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Simmons.
James graduated from West Brunswick High School and went on to become a welder. He loved his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sue; son, Christopher Mauropaus of Montana; daughters, Maria Clever of Fayetteville and Kelly Simmons of Virginia; brothers, Larry Simmons, Wayne Simmons and Bobby Simmons, and his wife, Sandra, all of Ash; grandchildren, Zoe and Aiden Clever.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte.
