
LONGWOOD — Bruce Douglas Esau, 69, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at his home. Mr. Esau was born Jan. 19, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He worked for Coca Cola for 25 years and retired from Brunswick Family Assistance after eight years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Esau; wife, Beverly Esau; brother, Lenny Esau; and brother in-law, Bob Little.
Mr. Esau is survived by his mother, Emma Esau of Waynesville; wife, Margaret Peggy Esau of the home; two sons, Matthew “Matt” Esau, and his wife, Stephanie, of Ohio and Douglas “Doug” Esau of Wilmington; two daughters, Patience Esau and Emma Esau, both of Longwood; four stepchildren, Larry Kaplan, and his wife, Lane, of Raleigh, Krystal Grissett, and her husband, Eddie, Samantha Vonwald and Heather Vonwald, and her fiancé, Matt, all of Longwood; two sisters, Diane Little of Waynesville and Darlene McGuire of Wilmington; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Harper, Isaac and Mia.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, at the White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, with the Rev. John Causey officiating. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
