SUPPLY — Aubrey Eugene Newton, 75, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Born in Concord, N.C., Nov. 5, 1941, he was a son of the late Junior Eddelmon Newton and Esther Griffin Newton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired security officer at Sunny Point MOTU.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Sellers Newton; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Newton-Lazzarino and Gian Lazzarino of Durham, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jim Newton and Lynn Newton of Winston Salem, N.C.; and sister, Carol Horton of Concord, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service officiated by the Rev. Wayne Tuttle. Burial will follow in the Galloway Cemetery, West.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service. Casketbearers will be Michael Lynn Sellers, Michael Seller Sr., Anthony Harrison, Rick Warford, Adam Sellers and Kyle Sellers. Honorary casketbearers will be Judd Ward, Thom Arnold, and coworkers of Sunny Point MOTU.
