CALABASH — Marcia Paulette Matthews, 77, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017.
She was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Manhattan, N.Y., to the late Paul and Stephania Beswick. Marcia was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles S. Matthews.
Surviving are her sons, Charles and Christine Matthews of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Brian and Marcie Matthews of Tampa, Fla., and Christopher and Naomi Matthews of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Pamela McGuire and Steff-Lynn Dahl; brother, Paul Beswick; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, at St. Brendan the Navigator Roman Catholic Church. Internment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
