Earlene Camellia Stallings, 84, enjoyed a good laugh

LELAND — Earlene Camellia Stallings, 84, of Leland, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Earlene was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Durham, N.C., daughter of the late George Addison Wall and Lillie Mae Collins Wall. Her son, Barry Douglas Stallings, grandson, Michael Adrian Frizell, and six brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.

Earlene was a loyal member of Grace Baptist Church for over 40 years. Her greatest love was her family, whom she adored and always talked about, along with many stories from her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed sewing, antiquing and cracking jokes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jack Stallings; two children, son, Randy Stallings of Wilmington, and daughter, Belinda Frizell of Gainesboro, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Alicia Strong (Chip), Tara Brimm, and Danielle Stallings; four great-grandchildren, Jesse Strong (Miranda), David Strong, Wilhelmina Brimm, and Ignatius Brimm; four brothers and sisters; and numerous extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at Andrews Valley Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Andrews Valley Chapel. The Rev. J.D. Herchenhahn will officiate. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
