WILMINGTON — Mrs. Doris H. Biggerstaff, 93, of Wilmington, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. She was a former resident of Daytona Beach, Fla.
Doris was born in Cumberland County, N.C., the daughter of the late Irvin Britt and Helen Lopez Hall. She was the widow of James Gilbert Dunnagan, and Lt. Comdr. Navy Retired Paul O. Biggerstaff. Upon meeting Doris you would immediately know her. She was 93, drove a mustang and she was a national tennis table champion.
She is survived by her son Gill Dunnagan, with who she has resided with over the past years, her grandson James Dunnagan III, and two great grandchildren, Ethan and Taley of West Jefferson, N.C.
It was Doris request that services be private.
