WILMINGTON – William Christopher Gregg, age 47, passed away Sept. 19, 2016, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
He was born July 7, 1969, to Ronald C. Gregg and Cheryl Gunnells.
Mr. Gregg was a loving husband, dad, and paw-paw. He had a warm smile and encouraging word for everyone he met. He was devoted to his family, and most loved spending time with them.
He served as a youth pastor at Sunset Park Baptist and Riley’s Creek Baptist Church. He is a member, as well as former Associate Pastor, at Silver Lake Baptist Church. He was passionate about his faith. He made a positive impact on so many lives, and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Gregg is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lisa Gregg, of Wilmington; sons, Chase LeBlanc and wife Ashley, of Wilmington, Canton Gregg of Wilmington; daughter; Sarah Gregg of Wilmington; father, Ronald C. Gregg of Columbia, South Carolina; mother, Cheryl Gunnells, of Florence, Alabam; twin brother, Bryan Gregg and wife, Melissa, of Florence, Alabama; sister, Tamela Tragila and husband, Chris, of Florence, Alabam; and granddaughter, Lillian LeBlanc of Wilmington.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 4:30-6 p.m. at Silver Lake Baptist Church, 4715 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m.,with the Rev. Lenier Furr officiating.
