SHALLOTTE – Robin Marie Mooney, 62, of Shallotte, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Winston-Salem on Oct. 16, 1953, and was the daughter of Evelyn Janice Taylor and husband, Willie, of Holden Beach and the late Vander Maxwell Hauser. She was the school secretary for Shallotte Middle School for 20 years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors, in addition to her mother and stepfather, include her husband, Steve Mooney; two daughters, Janet Chie and husband, Richard, of Shallotte and Jennifer Coleman and husband, Turner, of Shallotte; three grandchildren, Chandler Chie, Turner “Little T” Coleman II and Emma Coleman; and two stepbrothers, Fred Taylor and wife, Charlene, of Holden Beach and Jerry Taylor and wife, Brenda, of Winston-Salem.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the chapel of White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte with the Revs. Landis Lancaster and Bobby Causey officiating. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the funeral home prior to the service.
