Loretta Hammond Cedar, 58, of Wilmington, went to her heavenly home on Friday, August 12, 2016.
She was born in Wilmington in July 1958 to Jerry Hammond of Wilmington and the late Geraldine Wood Hammond. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Hammond.
Loretta was employed at Wal-Mart in Monkey Junction for over 10 years.
She loved the mountains with snow and was an animal lover. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving is her father, Jerry Hammond; a daughter, Natalie Cedar; a son, Nathan Cedar; and brothers, Al and Robbie Hammond.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Sunset Park Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Wroten officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church, also on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network or Sunset Park Baptist Church.
