Peter N. Freeman, 58, of Leland, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 at SECU Hospice House in Bolivia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Freeman, and two brothers, Tom and Dennis Freeman.
Pete is survived by his wife, Betty R. Freeman; sons, Christopher Aaron Freeman (Jaci) and Peter Alexander Freeman (Courtney); daughter Toni Rae Sawyer (David); sisters, Jean Lockett, Julie Roberts, Gayle Collins, Kathleen Scheifer; brother Daniel Freeman, grandchildren, Mason and Sarah Kuenstler, Suzanna Freeman, Laykin Freeman, Jacob Sawyer, Aiden Freeman and his mother Emerald; and many nieces and nephews.
Peter attended Cape Fear Community Fellowship Church and loved God. He coached softball, tee-ball and baseball for many years. Peter enjoyed collecting antique pottery.
A celebration on Pete’s life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends after the service.
