Edward Stanley Poduszczak, 75, Vietnam War veteran

Edward Stanley Poduszczak, of Sunset Beach, entered eternity at the age of 75, on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Poduszczak was born on September 1, 1940 in Camden, New Jersey, a son of the late Edward and Anna Chojnacki Poduszczak.

He was a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel, having served 26 years as an anesthetist and also served in the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, of 55 years, Ann Honey Poduszczak; son, Bruce Poduszczak, of Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, Sandra Shelton, of Johnson City, Tennessee, Lisa Pankey, and husband, Shannon, of Stedman, and Patty Hargrove, and husband Lawrence, of Clinton; sister, Roberta Toth, of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and “Poppy”.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 22 in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel. A Life Tribute Service will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Pink Palace in Sea Trail Golf Resort.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to any military non-profit organization.
