Jeanne C. Neidert, of Wilmington, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at her home. She was 84.
She was born in Trenton, New Jersey on Aug. 9, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Dora Mancini Marozzi. Also remembered is her husband, Edmund John Neidert Jr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Neidert was the executive secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, for over 18 years. She was a member of Basilica Shrine of St. Mary in Wilmington. Jeanne was always interested and involved in politics, she enjoyed spending time at the beach and she loved antiquing.
First and foremost, family is what brought her the most joy in life and she will be remembered by her family as a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her sister, Sister Carol Marozzi SSJ; son, Edmund Neidert III; son, James Neidert and wife Tracy and their children, Molly and Alexander Neidert; daughter, Kathleen Perry and her children, Vincent and Nicholas Perry; daughter, Elizabeth Fisher and her children, Joseph Fisher and Matthew Fisher; and one great-grandson, James Michael Perry.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary in Wilmington with a funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
