Samuel Dale Wilson, of Leland, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 ,at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was 57.
Sammy was born in Wilmington on Nov. 20, 1957, the son of the late Jack Ray and Velma King Wilson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Wilson.
He was a self-employed drywall installer.
Surviving are his son, Carl Wilson and daughter, Alyssa Wilson, both of Castle Hayne; brother, Ray Wilson and wife Dianne, of Wilmington; sister, Debbie W. Sessoms and husband David, of Leland; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, David and Jean Ritter and George Harris.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Mintz will officiate the service. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service.
