
Evelyn Gravett Bullard, of Wilmington, died quietly after a brief illness on Oct. 26, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. She was 91.
She was daughter of the late Cornelius and Tamma Gravett, born on Feb. 27, 1924, in Haleyville, Alabama. She was married to the late Lt. Col. Exum F. Bullard.
Evelyn was a member of St. Andrews- Covenant Presbyterian Church and volunteered in the church office for several years. She was also a volunteer at the Carolina Beach Library for over 20 years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Prior to her death she was a resident of Pacifica Senior Center where she had many friends including staff and residents.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Lou Brown, Violet Palmer, Ailene Buffler, Jack Gravett and infant Guy Gravett, all from Alabama.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Radwan, of Houston and Frances Bullard, of Wilmington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Fairbanks, Zayde Radwan, Sarah Radwan, Miriam Radwan and Amanda Bullard, and one great-grandchild, Zayde Radwan.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Wilmington National Cemetery.
