Kelvin B. Hewett, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Aug. 7, 2015, at the age of 47.
Kelvin was born in Loris, South Carolina, on Nov. 11, 1968, and was the son of Gerald and Faye Reeves Hewett. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hewett, and grandparents, Early and Daisy Cumbee Hewett and Burqueen and Alice Reeves.
He enjoyed golf and fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan who loved animals. He retired from Atlantic Telephone Membership Corporation.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Faye Reeves Hewett, of Shallotte; fiancé, Anne Arnette; daughter, Savannah Leigh Hewett, of Ash; brother, Terry Wayne Hewett and fiancé Debbie Layton, of Ocean Isle Beach; nephew, Jonathan Wayne Hewett; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, Aug. 12, 2015, at White Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Dwight Reeves officiating. Burial will be private.
