Alberta McFadden Given, of Bedford, Texas and formerly of Elkview, West Virginia and Oak Island, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Given. She is survived by her children, Paul D. Given, (wife, Debby), of Lincolnton, Georgia, Sarah Wilson, (husband, Michael), Karen Given, of Bedford, Texas and Marla Grant, (husband William), of Azle, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She has served as elder, Ridglea Presbyterian Women moderator and liaison for North Tarrant County Presbyterian Women. She received a Life Member Achievement Award for her service to Presbyterian Women.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church or Ridglea Presbyterian Church.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2014, at Emmanual Presbyterian Church in Bedford Texas. Interment will be at Cape Fear Memorial Park in Southport.
