
Stuart Norman Short, 53, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Stuart was born July 24, 1961 in Erwin, Tennessee, the son of the late Larry E. Short. He is survived by his mother Charlene Short; his fiance, Brenda Roebuck of Wilmington; son, Nicholas Short of Oak Island; brothers, Michael and Scott, and sister Dawn Short–Williams of Wilmington. Stuart’s extended family included his fiance’s children, Jack and Rhonda Roebuck, and grandchildren, Nathaniel and Blayden; and stepchildren, Laura and Adam Hoffman and granddaughter Noriah.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8 at the Andrews Mortuary at the Market Street Chapel, 1617 Market Street.
Stuart was a fun-loving individual, honorable and respectful. He was possibly the most caring and giving person on this earth. Stuart’s wish to be an organ donor was honored. He was truly loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
