WILMINGTON — The annual “Santa Cop” is returning to the city Friday morning.
On Dec. 19 at 8:45 a.m., children will be paired with civilians and officers to go on a gift card-funded shopping spree.
“Santa Cop” began in 1990 and is now in its 35th year. This year’s event will be held at the Walmart on Sigmon Road in Wilmington, made possible through volunteers and donations from local businesses, residents and organizations.
New organizations are still welcome to attend. Those who wish to RSVP can send an email to Brandon.Shope@wilmingtonnc.gov.
