Methamphetamine seizure leads to eight arrests in New Hanover investigation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division has arrested eight individuals in a targeted operation against methamphetamine trafficking.

The investigation began with a citizen complaint regarding drug activity at 1522 Whispering Woods Court. Detectives secured a search warrant for the property based on evidence gathered.

During the execution of multiple search and arrest warrants, authorities seized a firearm, over 11 ounces of methamphetamine and quantities of crack cocaine.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to disrupt the supply of dangerous narcotics in our community,” Sheriff Ed McMahon said. “These arrests are a direct result of coordinated intelligence, vigilant investigation, and the ongoing commitment to keeping New Hanover County safe.”

Arrested individuals in part of the operation are

  • Benjamin Brown – 41 years old
  • James Lee – 45 years old
  • Scott Daniels – 49 years old
  • Noah Carson – 23 years old
  • David Rasp – 65 years old
  • Katelin Ledford – 34 years old
  • Johathan Henry – 25 years old
  • Jermaine Horsley – 46 years old
