WILMINGTON – A call to the Wilmington Police Department’s Tip 411 line has led to the arrest of a local man on multiple drug charges.
Members of WPD’s narcotics unit executed a search warrant on a house occupied by Kawaun Marquee Canty, 42, at the 300 block of Sumter Street Tuesday. The warrant was the culmination of a two-month investigation based partially on information provided by the anonymous caller.
Detectives located 38 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of methamphetamine, 366 grams of marijuana, 82 bindles of heroin, and 118 doses of Percocet at the scene. Over $8,000 dollars in currency was also seized.
