The state is hosting a webinar on the future of public transportation and invites the public to join.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold an online discussion Jan. 23 from noon to 1 p.m. The agency will reveal results of its North Carolina Public Perception Survey: Transportation Funding and Electric Vehicles.

The session will provide insight into the findings of the survey, including public perception on how transportation us funded and peoples’ opinions of electric vehicles.
The research was conducted by N.C. State University’s Institute of Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) under the direction of Daniel Findley. Mr. Findley is the Associate Director of Education and Training at ITRE.
“Transportation is changing rapidly and that will affect how we will get to where we’re going and how we will pay for the transportation network of the future,” state Transportation Secretary Eric Boyette said in a press release. “This survey is another tool we can use to help us prepare for the future.”
