WILMINGTON — A man was arrested with multiple charges Wednesday when Wilmington police officers initiated a traffic stop.

Jarvis Johnson, 41 of Wilmington, attempted to flee on foot when law enforcement tried to pull over a vehicle in the 700 block of South 16th Street. A press release from the WPD notes when the vehicle slowed, Johnson jumped out and took off on foot.

Officers were able to detain Johnson and allegedly found 26 grams of crack cocaine, 2 grams of ecstasy, marijuana, and cash in his possession. Jarvis also had an active warrant for a probation violation, according to the WPD release.

He has been charged with resist/delay/obstruct, possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, felony possession of crack cocaine, felony possession of ecstasy, and possession of marijuana.

Johnson is at the NHCSO Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond for the drug charges and no bond for the parole violation.
