Felony hit-and-run leaves one man in critical condition

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department are investigating a traffic incident that sent one man to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in critical condition Thursday.

On Jan. 5 at 7:23 p.m., the WPD responded to a call to the 3400 block of Wrightsville Avenue. They found a a man lying in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to NHRMC and remains in critical condition.

Officers do not have a vehicle description or suspect information and are asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone with information should contact WPD at (910) 343-3609 or use the WPD Tip411 app.
