PENDER COUNTY — A Pender County man has been arrested with multiple counts of sex crimes involving a teenager.
The Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Ching Michael Spedding, a resident of Magnolia and Wilmington, NC. Spedding faces four charges, including second-degree forcible sex offense, statutory sex offense, indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery against a 15-year old victim.
Detectives investigated Spedding after a report of sexual assault was filed with the Special victims unit and Pender County uniformed patrol deputies.
Spedding was arrested and held on a secured $1,000,000 bond set by the magistrate. His first appearance was Tuesday, Jan. 3 in the Pender County District Court.
